Photo projects, with a focus on documentarism, help form the very fabric of our collective understanding and exploration of fellow humans, and the world in which we live. There are an infinite amount of ways to journey through life, and we only ever experience a select few on a personal level. Documentation reveals more to the world, opening up a greater level of observation, a more rounded and open perspective. Albeit poverty and suffering, vast riches, times of war, times of glory, or the everyday mundane on a land far from yours. It gives the viewer eyes to see something they never would have otherwise. The role of the documentary photographer is vitally important, not just for transparency in the present but, also, to aid in the preservation of our lives for future generations.
